Snowberry, compost, wildflowers, spring planting, spotted towhee

April was filled with rain, snow, wind and sunshine. On several of the snowy days, we harvested whole snowberry bushes from the North Floodplain.
We transplanted clusters of the snowberry bushes into the meadows that surround our sharp-tailed grouse release site (red circle). The mature shrubs will provide cover and food for the establishing grouse populations.
