An unusual population of cutleaf daisy in the floodplain exhibits a secondary bloom well into late autumn.

This tiny sweat bee took advantage of the last rabbitbrush flowers of the season (Dialictus sp. on Ericameria nauseosa). She was joined by several species of flies and even a day-flying moth (inset).
